Tossed it in my pack for a weeklong trip and honestly forgot it was there until I needed it, which is exactly what you want. It's small and light enough that I didn't feel it weighing down my gear at all.
The blade locks open with a solid click and the whole thing disappears into my palm when closed, which is exactly what I wanted for trail days. It's so light I honestly forgot it was in my pack until I needed to cut some cordage.
