I've been using this axe for splitting kindling and it handles like a dream, the blade keeps its edge even after chopping some tough knots. The balance is spot-on for one-handed limbing work. Definitely worth it for an all-around camp tool.
The handle's wood grain feels so natural and well-finished that it almost looks like a tool from a century ago, yet the head cuts through logs on the first swing. Used it for limbing fallen branches after a storm, and the balance is spot on for smaller chopping tasks.
I’d been meaning to replace my old splitting axe and this one’s balance is spot-on; the fine wood handle feels natural and grippy even when my hands are sweaty. Made short work of a pile of birch logs for the firepit.
