Finally pulled the trigger and it's noticeably brighter than my old lamp at just 100 grams. The reactive lighting really does save battery by automatically dimming when I'm scanning a trail map.
I was hesitant about the reactive lighting feature, but it's genuinely useful—it automatically dims when you're close to an object and brightens when you look far, saving battery and adjusting perfectly. The beam feels solid for trail running at night, and it's light enough that I forget I'm wearing
Only 100 grams but 1100 lumens is a crazy ratio — I barely notice it on my helmet during night trail runs. The beam pattern is wide enough for both the trail right in front of me and spotting far-off markers.
