Bought this for the freezing commute and it's genuinely a different experience — the merino wool breathes so well that my head stays warm without getting sweaty under a beanie. The short fit sits just above the ears, which is exactly what I wanted for wearing under a hood.
The merino wool is surprisingly breathable—my head stays warm on windy commutes without getting sweaty once I’m inside. The short fit sits just right above my ears, not bulky under a hood.
It's short enough that it doesn't feel bulky under a hood, but the merino wool still traps heat like a much bigger hat. I've worn it on freezing morning walks and my ears never once felt the bite.
